This document describes what you need to consider for publishing a receiver application

Regardless of the receiver type, you need to submit the app tagged as ‘Smart View enabled app’ and need to provide sender application’s information. It will be released after testing the basic scenarios regarding sender-receiver communications.

Installed TV App

You can submit your TV app as normal to Samsung Apps.

Cloud TV App

Cloud TV Apps must be "whitelisted" in order to be launched on a Samsung SmartTV and TizenTV.

  • To publish your Cloud TV App, visit Seller Office Site and sign up.

  • Select "Cast Suppoted App Registration" - "Cloud TV App"

  • Fill in basic information with Cloud URL.

To make development easier, the whitelist is disabled by default in the TizenTV Emulator and TizenTV Web Simulator.

  1. On an actual TizenTV device, you can also temporarily disable the whitelist for development.

    • Execute Developer Mode(TV)
    • To do this, go to: http://TV_IP:8001 and check "TV_IP" is your TVs IP address. To find your TVs IP address, use the TV remote that select "Menu-Network-Network Status-IP Settings"
    • check the "Allow All Content" and submit
  2. Or you can build a test purpose Web app. Please refer to the sample app 'fakeCloudApp'

Default Media Player (DMP)

Even if it is not mandated but recommended submit your app in order to provide proper guidelines and give promotional opportunities.

There is no approval process required to use the DMP, but your mobile app can be tested for basic features and any problems or suggestions will be notified via Seller office.
